Fluent in French and experienced in multinational corporate matters, New York City attorney Dyan Gershman has served as counsel for multiple large-cap businesses over the course of her over 25-year career. Now leading her own firm, Gershman Law, PLLC, Dyan Gershman has devoted time to causes such as Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County, where she participated in building homes.
Long known for its mission of supplying families in need with affordable, quality, safe housing, Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County, which builds roughly 12 homes a year, has created Team Build Day as a platform for employers looking for a place for workers to retreat or to boost morale. Through Team Build Day, employees enjoy the benefits of improving the living conditions of community members and families through the hands-on experience of building homes. There are numerous benefits of participating in a Team Build Day. The opportunity presents an office with a chance to get to know one another outside of the confines of work through the collaborative process of building a home together. It also offers the chance to build a more inclusive culture. A Team Build Day also presents participating companies a chance to raise visibility. Pictures from the event can be uploaded to a company’s social media sites in an effort to build goodwill in the community and to promote its commitment to giving back.
