Dyan Gershman is an experienced lawyer specialized in corporate law. In 2014, she founded her law firm, Gershman Law, PLLC, in New York City where she serves a wide range of US and international clients. In collaboration with her brother Michael, Dyan Gershman created a memorial scholarship in honor of their mother, Dr. Sally T. Gershman.
Established in 1994, the Sally T. Gershman Memorial Scholarship was created in honor of the late Dr. Sally T. Gershman. Born in New York City in 1933, Dr. Gershman was an accomplished academic who taught European and French history at Georgia Southern University (GSU) for 12 years. The Sally T. Gershman Memorial Scholarship is open to female students currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate history degree program at GSU who have a particular interest in French or European women’s history. The scholarship is awarded annually to female students who meet the above criteria and have an excellent academic record supplemented by relevant extracurricular activities. The 2020-2021 recipient of the Sally T. Gershman Memorial Scholarship was Morgan Reddick. Ms. Reddick is a senior at GSU majoring in History.
